The World at Large

The descending sun spooks me, As it reminds me of impending doom. The fate of the world hanging on  the joker wearing the crown. A game of deceit and endless conspiracies, Rigged to make the hidden emerge strong. ‘Come one come all’ The sign bellows. Not one peasant decided to enjoy the menu. They are sinking to fall in their own broken ship. All towing to head into the dark abyss. We enjoy playing the game when it is, Someone else who’s head will twirl if they miss. But when the trigger loads and the target is us. When the bullet wants to grab hold on us. We run so far, without a hitch. We run to never stop to check. What happened to those who tried to save us? What happened to the joker who longs for love? What happened to the magician, is he still sick? The old man, next door, did he get his tip? The world of our species amuses me. To see the world move by so cheap. The moon is now out. It winks at me. The stars shining bright following me. The world beyond our species, Fascinates

A poem...mother earth

The world is changing in a way it always has,
for better or worse it's in our hands.
From nature, we took the greatest power,
to rule our kingdom and create an empire.

Mother Gaia, they once called her.
for she was a goddess of nature,
an epitome of love and an offspring of magic.
she spread light and ruled fair.
she awoke the divine and magic was stronger than life.

But, then came man, to destroy and devour.
he ripped and tore every last shred of vigour left.
An epitome of greed. An epitome of desire
He killed, he ravaged and he won.
He won against her.

Her wrath was inescapable. Her empire in flames.
She vowed to break all till the last lineage.
Her curse is fatal, and death is futile.
her hope to rule has never been so dark.
no light in her path but she couldn't stop.
for she was Mother Gaia after all/

She decided to wait amongst the shadows.
She decided to watch every step of mankind.
Her desire to protect the ones of justice grew
and her yearning to banish the wrongs heightened.

She watched her legacy become history
she heard her history become a myth.
she watched her followers disband and
she watched her existence conceal.
Magic was no longer a threat but a mere trick.

She didn't dare speak up.
Her time was coming,
a time where man was bedridden and dying.
their race was falling to corruption and evil
nature will take back that power to rule.

But after all these long years,
watching and listening.
Her silent whispers had made her heart change,
though they caused her harm, she was their mother after all.
How could she strip them bare of life?
How could she watch them die in strife?

Empathy, she thought must be followed,
as she began to heal all of mankind's sorrows.
She grew from the dark to become their light.
To save them of powers they could not fathom to fight.

And she did the impossible,
she gave life to the dying and rid earth of evil from all corners and lines.
For she was Mother Gaia after all,
an epitome of power.
an epitome of love.
